Job Overview:
As an EB MTBM Operator you are experienced in the day-to-day operations of MTBM equipment, from the tunnel machine, to the supporting ancillary equipment, separation systems and overall navigation methods including VMT. You have experience with premobilization planning, layout and equipment set up from shaft installation to MTBM set-up to launch.
Daily activity monitoring, you are hands-on and are motivated to see that all components of the MTBM drive are running to best performance. Productivity, you are on top of the tasks at hand and see that the crew is operating at peak performance at all times. You are a solutions-oriented troubleshooter, with experience in preventing problems and fixing problems before they become show stoppers.
You are detail oriented and constantly looking at ways to improve the process and maximize production efficiencies.
You are able to understand complex trenchless systems and clearly articulate needs, issues and production concerns.
You seek to add value to the work, and innovate solutions to make processes efficient, safer and more productive
Qualifications
5 years MTBM operation
Experience with HK tunnel systems
Experience with VMT navigation
Excellent troubleshooting and hands on resolution of MTBM related challenges
High degree of self-organization, flexibility, and communication skills
Strong understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regularion 213/91 and other applicable regulations
Demonstrated commitment to your team and the aims and goals of the company
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Take direction well and seek clarity in job duties and responsibilities
Keen sense of foresight and versatility and a track record for creative problem solving
