Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various types of heavy equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
– Inspect heavy equipment to identify mechanical issues and perform diagnostic tests
– Repair and maintain heavy equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
– Use power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components
– Weld and fabricate parts as needed
– Assemble and test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functioning
– Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
– Communicate with customers to understand their concerns and provide excellent customer service
– Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Skills:
– Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in Heavy Equipment repair and maintenance
– Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
– Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and schematics
– Ability to weld and fabricate parts as needed
– Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
