As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated Construction Site Supervisor and an Assistant Construction Site Supervisor to join our dynamic team.

Job Description: A roadworks grademan is responsible for establishing construction grades and lines established by the surveyor. They also perform minor surveys, layouts, and other tasks on a construction site. The grademan must be able to install offsets if required and transfer layout information to offset stakes.

Main Duties:

• Sets construction lines and grades for road construction
• Installs offsets and transfer layout information to offset stakes
• Effective communicates with crew members
• Records as-built information in a field book and transfer it to project record drawings
• Ensures work is done safely
• Ensures quality work
• Performs final planning and layout calculations
• Checks survey layout in advance
• Cares for and maintains grademan tools
• Participates in housekeeping duties to prepare and maintain a clean site

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• proficient in their use of survey instruments and GPS to establish correct grade for construction projects with the ability to read plans.
• Can safely and properly operate small equipment.
• good physical health
• Having one to two years of experience in the road construction industry
• Being able to read blueprints and grades
• Having strong mathematical skills
• Having a working knowledge of excavation, grades, and granular related materials
