Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimating Manager to lead our construction estimating team. The ideal candidate will oversee the preparation of accurate project bids, manage client relationships, and ensure competitive pricing strategies. This role requires a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and negotiation, with proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. The Estimating Manager will play a critical role in securing new projects and maintaining the company’s reputation for precise and reliable estimates.

Duties

Lead and coordinate the development of detailed construction estimates for various projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Utilize Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software to prepare and review bid documents.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project scope.
Conduct thorough market research to establish competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
Negotiate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Manage the estimation team’s workflow, provide mentorship, and ensure timely completion of all bids.
Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to identify potential risks or discrepancies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials costs, and labor rates to inform accurate estimates.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and project management tools is essential.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and clients.
Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple estimates simultaneously.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost analysis and pricing strategies.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred but not mandatory if accompanied by extensive relevant experience.
