Mar-King has been operating as a general contractor, delivering sewer, watermain and road infrastructure in southern Ontario since 1991. Since the inception of Mar-King, our primary focus has been on municipal infrastructure and road reconstruction projects. This dedication to working with municipalities has resulted in a breadth of experience, allowing us to hone our skills in the important aspects of working within the existing urban landscape.
In this role, your duties will include:
• Assisting office staff with project estimating
• Assisting office staff with project coordination tasks including coordination with suppliers, subcontractors and clients
• Assisting field staff with the maintenance of project related documentation, including project reporting and progress tracking
• Assisting office and field staff in maintaining Health and Safety documentation
• Other duties to support project management and supervisory/field staff
• Fulfilling the duties of COR Internal Auditor and/or ISO Internal Auditor, training will be provided for this role
In addition to the above, there is an expectation that you will pursue continuous improvement of your technical development through training programs, seminars etc. This continuous improvement shall be reviewed from time to time with Mar-King management. Mutually agreed training programs will be paid for by Mar-King.
The anticipated hours of work will generally be 42.5 hours per week. The workday will generally be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a ½ hour lunch break. There will be some variability based on the demands of the job. Our head office is located at 77 Villarboit Crescent, in Concord, Ontario. Our job site locations are variable and could be anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area, as well as Simcoe County and Orangeville. Generally, a company vehicle will be available for travel from the office to job sites.
